RAF Menwith Hill

Work has started at RAF Menwith Hill for SGW Construction to construct and build new play areas. The scheme involves hard and soft landscaping, the construction of a Multi-Use Games Area with a Poraflex Surface, Rebound fence and Floodlighting. There are several themed play areas to be installed including a Farm, Castle, Treasure Island, Jungle, City and Olympics. The play equipment has been sourced from MIRACLE.

Seven weeks into the project and we are just reaching the end of the 1st phase of the drainage and ducting work. We have just received the first delivery of the play equipment, so with equipment on site, work can now commence on the construction of the play areas.

Corbridge

CLS have just installed their first ECB approved Cricket Wicket at Corbridge.

Russel Foster Youth Academy - Sports Pitches

CLS have been given the opportunity to construct 20 football pitches at Russell Foster Youth Academy in Tyne and Wear, 5 of which are full size pitches.

Manor Road Park - Scarborough

CLS were appointed contractors by Groundwork North Yorkshire on the Manor Road Park upgrade in Scarborough. The work comprised the upgrade of an existing play area to create an exciting 8-13 years play area including the creation of mounds and 'headlands' with some concrete reinforced slopes and the installation of new play equipment with safety surfacing. The new play area theme is based around natural and adventurous play and was funded partly through the Governments Playbuilder Programme.

The Dells - Scarborough

This contract for Groundwork North Yorkshire involved the breaking out and removal of an existing concrete footbridge and concrete culvert, excavation of the pond, regrading of the slope, creation of a new limestone footpath, bitmac works and grass seeding.
