Shelton Sand Placement Hopper

The Shelton Sand Placement Hopper is ideal for placing free draining sands over piped drain runs and narrow drainage channels.The hopper may also be used for topping-up drainage trenches that have settled. The weight of the Sand Placement Hopper is carried by the tractor and rear roller with the spring-loaded skirt maintaining the correct operating pressure to ensure turf damage is minimised. The depth of sand is adjustable to suit different specifications and a hydraulically operated internal agitator ensures a consistent flow of material. The hopper is fitted with twin rakers and two consolidating wheels ensuring the sand is firm and level.

Shelton 6T Fast Flow Gravel & Sand Hopper

The award winning 6 tonne Fast-Flow Hopper ensures fast, clean and efficient back-filling of drainage trenches with both gravel and sand offering high daily outputs to keep up with modern trenching equipment. Aggregate material is fed from the main hopper to a secondary hopper, these are interchangeable to switch between gravel and sand. They have 150mm (6’’) of lateral movement, minimising the risk of damage to the trench sides. The secondary sand hopper features rakers and presser wheels ensuring good consolidation of sand into the trench. The 700mm (28’’) wide low ground pressure tyres ensure minimal damage to fine turf.
