Athletics Track Refurbishment

This project involved the refurbishment of an existing non-porous athletics track for Basingstoke and Dean Borough Council. The track, which was previously resurfaced in 1999 and again in 2005, currently held a full UKA (UK Athletics) competition certificate, but was showing many signs of wear and deterioration.

The project involved extensive repair work to the existing track surface before a thorough specialist cleaning operation to the existing track was carried out.

A new surface overlay was then installed to the entire track and event areas, followed by the installation of new line markings to UKA and World Athletics standards.

The track is now enjoyed by Basingstoke and Mid Hants Athletics Club, who train and host competitions at the track. The facility is also let for school use and open to the general public.
