Athletics Track Refurbishment
This athletics track refurbishment project for the County Borough of Blaenau Gwent in Wales at the Brynmawr Athletics Track involved the installation of a new porous system to World Athletics Standards.
We firstly thoroughly cleaned the existing 6 lane circuit, high jump D and long/triple jump surfaces and drainage system, before repairing several areas of the track base mat which were out of tolerance for World Athletics standards.
The new 3mm textured structure spray porous track surface was then installed using red pigmented polyurethane binder mixed with red EPDM rubber granulate. This system complements the existing polyurethane track system and has brought the track back up to World Athletics standards.
